In January 2023, Tim Brenner with Festive Water acquired Nomadic Flow Outfitters from Ryan Roth, the initial founder of NFO. To start, we’d like to thank Ryan Roth for everything he’s done for the kayaking community in North Georgia, and for his dedication to NFO, rescue, and paddlesports - as well as his public service in the fire department.
Nomadic Flow Outfitters was, at the time, the only whitewater kayak outfitter in the North Metro Atlanta area, serving most of North Georgia. They also specialized in swift water rescue equipment, due to Ryan’s background as a firefighter and swift water EMS rescuer. Not only did they carry whitewater gear - they also carried fishing kayaks, paddleboards, and other outdoor supplies.
Originally started in Porterdale, Nomadic Flow ran tubing and kayak trips down the Yellow River, alongside the outfitter shop. When the Mill on Etowah was constructed in Canton, GA, and Reformation Brewery added their second location there, NFO moved from Porterdale to Canton, and began running tubing and kayaking trips down the Etowah River.
Festive Water is all about lake access made simple. Located right by Lake Lanier on Highway 369 in Cumming, GA , Festive Water is a top rated destination for paddlesports adventures in North Georgia.
We are dedicated to helping people get on the water, enjoy life, and live in moments that matter. At the time of the NFO acquisition, Festive Water was a Lake Lanier kayak and paddleboard rental business run by Tim Brenner. Tim saw a void in the kayak community with the closures of Go With The Flow Outfitters in Roswell, GA and Outside World in Dawsonville, GA. North Georgia needed a paddlesports outfitter ship. With the foundation of Nomadic Flow Outfitters, Tim is planning to open the Festive Water Paddlesports shop on Highway 369 in Cumming, GA - just a couple miles from Lake Lanier.
