Foamie Friends has been making wooden Foamie Boaters commercially for a decade now. Wooden Boats are completely handmade and require 80-90 minutes of hand labor. Most boats are made from trees that have been personally harvested (Basswood and Buckeye that grow high up in the mountains are only exceptions). They are milled, dried and squared before cutting into the hull shape with a band-saw. Once the boat is cut, it requires 12-16 minutes of sanding between the belt sander and hand sanding time. They are then finished with expensive urethane automotive finishes and swirl paint.

From the water-jetted 6 pound Mini-cell foam that is used and Rubber-dip to make the bodies, to the fiberglass rods used for spines and paddle shafts; Foamie Friends only use the best materials possible. They deliver a premium quality product and stand behind every boat which is made to last.
